Meet The Team

For several years Tom made his own skis. He started from scratch and created all the tooling and presses needed to make Fork Tree Skis. Since then he’s setup The boot Lab and specialises in boot-fitting.

The Fork Tree brand is still with us and you’ll see beanies, tees and hoodies around resort. Now though Tom spends his time not he snow testing all the other manufacturers skis.

Call in and chat to him about skis, with his knowledge of construction and shape you’ll be guaranteed the perfect ski for your holiday.

We setup The Boot Lab in resort 8 years ago, and began by specialising in fitted ski boots. Over time we’ve added to our services and setup the Ski Lab.

We provide the best range of test skis in the Three Valleys area and we have a dedicated, friendly and highly trained team that love sharing their knowledge of ski equipment.

Our knowledge combined with a fantastic range will ensure you have the perfect ski for the conditions

Gavin setup The Boot Lab with Tom, and loves skiing and ski touring. Recently he’s ski toured in Japan, Iceland and Norway.

His top three skis? In resort he skis the all-mountain Amplid Rockwell, on-piste the Volkl Racetiger and for touring the Amplid Facelift with G3 Ion bindings.

Top tip – “Test the Volkl Deacon this winter, with a 15m radius and top class construction this ski is built for the pistes of Courchevel and Meribel.”
